Vibration Therapy

What it does

The last step of every session. You stand on a platform that creates rapid vibrations, and your body responds with repeated small muscle contractions as it works to stabilize you. That muscle activity supports circulation and lymphatic flow, which is exactly what she wants after treatment.

She is straightforward about what it is not: ten minutes on a vibration plate is not exercise and it is not burning off the fat just treated. It is a way of getting the body moving before you walk out, and it complements the manual lymphatic drainage. It is also why she pushes clients to keep moving afterward. Walking is enough.

What it feels like

Exactly what you are imagining. You step on, it vibrates, and your body jiggles. You feel it mainly through the feet and legs, but depending on the setting and how you stand it can travel through the whole body. Your muscles engage automatically, making small adjustments to keep you stable.

Not painful. A little strange the first time because your whole body is moving without you moving it. There is something to hold onto, and she shows you how to stand. Most people are used to it within a minute. She steps out of the room for those ten minutes. Most clients look at their phone.

"We generally laugh the first time, because there's really no dignified way to stand on a vibration plate while everything just jiggles around."
Bronwyn is great. She is very knowledgeable about what she does and she gets great results. Time flies when you are with her.
