Why BAQ

People shopping for body sculpting are usually comparing several very different things without realizing how different they are. Here's what you're actually choosing between, and what makes BAQ's approach different. This is not a comparison to any specific business, just an honest look at the categories.

BAQ treats women only. The BAQ Method was built around women's bodies and the changes that come with pregnancy, weight change, aging and menopause, and the studio is a women-only space by design. Bronwyn does not currently accept male clients.

What people are usually choosing between

  • A med spa. Typically offers a menu of individual treatments. You pick one, book it, and often see whoever is available that day. Marble countertops and a broad service list, from injectables to lasers to facials.
  • A single-technology provider. CoolSculpting and similar. One technology, applied to one area at a time, usually requiring multiple return visits per area.
  • A cheaper cavitation studio. Often the same protocol applied to everyone regardless of what their tissue actually is.
  • Surgery. Liposuction or a tuck. A different category entirely, with anesthesia, downtime, and a surgeon.
  • BAQ. Multiple modalities sequenced in one 90-minute session, chosen after assessment, delivered by the same person every visit, with measurements taken every time.

The differences that actually matter

These are facts about how Bronwyn works, not claims about anyone else.

  • One practitioner, every session. The same person works on you every time. She knows your body, what you have tried, how you have responded so far, and what changed since last visit. Nobody is reading a chart to catch up.
  • Assessment before treatment. She puts her hands on the area and decides what it needs before she decides what to do. Two women with the same complaint get different sessions. Nothing is a fixed protocol.
  • Seven modalities, not one. Six across a standard session, plus vacuum therapy for cellulite and the Booty Lift. Most places do one thing at a time and have you come back for the rest, which is better for their schedule than for you.
  • Measurements every visit. Progress is tracked in numbers, not in whether you feel like something is working.
  • Reassessment throughout. What your body needs at session ten may not be what it needed at session one, and the plan changes accordingly.
  • A private studio. By appointment only. Not a waiting room, not a rotating staff, not a menu.

One room, one practitioner

This is the whole studio. Not a suite of rooms with a rotating staff, and not a machine you get booked onto for fifteen minutes. One room, one person, and the same person every visit.

Questions worth asking wherever you're considering

Instead of taking anyone's word for it, ask:

  • Do you see the same person every visit, or whoever is available?
  • Do they measure you, or do you just go by how it looks?
  • Are they treating one thing at a time, or combining approaches in one visit?
  • Did they assess the area before recommending a plan, or offer you a package off a menu?

On price

If you've found somewhere cheaper, that doesn't mean their equipment is bad. There are good and bad devices at every price point, and Bronwyn won't claim otherwise about a studio she knows nothing about. What's usually true is that a cheaper session is one modality applied the same way to everyone, and what costs more here is the assessment, the customization, and the fact that one experienced person is making decisions the whole time.

"You could put the exact same piece of equipment in two different rooms and get two completely different experiences. When someone comes to BAQ, you're not paying for access to a machine. You're paying for professional equipment plus the assessment, the customization, the sequencing, the hands-on work, and the decisions I'm making throughout the entire session."
Bronwyn has a very warming personality which immediately makes you feel at ease. The technique performed was explained in detail and my questions were answered to my liking. There was no pain and I was comfortable during the procedure. I went through my day with no down time. I would definitely refer my friends and family to her.
